Dear AdventuRiders,
The weather is looking FABULOUS for tomorrow. Perhaps a little chilly with mid 60 degrees when we leave and low 70s when we return under bright blue skies and exceptionally low humidity.
I am bringing my math-magician son with me, so if you were wondering about "arithmetic progression topology", he may be able to fill you in :-)
On Wednesday, August 29th - Groton Center
- 9:30 AM - the PreSeason Ride will leave.
- 12:30 PM - we should be back.

Hope to see you there,
Bill (and maybe Carole)

Dear AdventuRiders,
I hope everyone had a great summer! I just got back from Bar Harbor and we are planning our 18th season of AdventuRides!
This week looks kind of busy with back to school stuff, but Wednesday looks like a great day and I don't have to do any kid stuff until 2:00 PM. So,
On Wednesday, August 29th - Groton Center
- 9:30 AM - the PreSeason Ride will leave.
- 12:30 PM - we should be back.
- Starting Point Map - Groton Center.
- Route Map - Groton Center - Wallace Hill - Pepperell.
- Distance - 24 miles.
- Elevation Gain - 600 feet.
- Unpaved - none.
- Equipment - I plan to bring my road bike.
Lunch at Filho's Cucina in Groton.
On Wednesday, September 5th - Exploration Ride - TBD
On Friday, September 7th - Fitness Ride - TBD
On Saturday, September 8th - Eastern Trail Lighthouse Ride
- We did this a few years ago and it was cold and pouring rain.
- Give it a try, its for a good cause.
On Sunday, September 9th - Human Powered Vehicle Festival - Ayer
- Carole and I will be there, and we will lead a ride to Shirley Center and back
- I will bring a few of my crazy vehicles.
- Show up! Its a fun afternoon of unique human powered contraptions.
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept 22-23rd - Seacoast Century
- Since I turned 60 this summer (gasp!), I'm making noises about riding the full century in one day.
- The Portsmouth bridge is gone this year, so the Century route goes through Dover, NH.
- This is basically the same route we did 2 years ago, except we won't go to Rollinsford.
- The ride around "Great Bay" is really pretty and you don't have to contend with sea breezes.
Hope to see you there,
Bill and Carole
