Friday's rides cancelled

Even though it is no longer supposed to be rainy tomorrow, there will be a strong wind resulting in wind chills in the 30s all day long. That will make for unpleasant biking.

So we'll do the Hudson rides on Monday and not have a Fearless Leader Ride.

Details on Sunday….

Have a good weekend all.

Also, tomorrow is the anniversary of Bill Brandt's death. I plan to take some time to think about all the gifts he gave that have made a big difference in my life.

Adventurides - October 24, 26, 28

This Week:  Gardner - Groton - Hudson

On Monday, October 24 - Gardner,Baldwinville,Winchendon - 10AM
Joel will lead us on this new Fearless Leader Choice Ride : "The ride starts out on a short bike trail that leads into Gardner.  After a few city streets it's off to more country roads.  The "adventure" part of the ride is on dirt roads that lead to the Birch Hill Dam on the Miller's River in South Royalston.  The ride passes by Lake Dennison, a popular State park.  Much of the 25 or so miles are on the paved sections of the North Central Pathway. I found a nice restaurant just off the trail called The River's Edge in Winchendon.  Breakfasts are served all day.  Portions are large.  They do not take credit cards."

Starting point:  Trailhead of North Central Pathway at 373 Green St., Gardner - small parking lot

10AM - The ride will leave

Route Map:  Gardner Club Route  21.1 miles (maybe a little longer) ; 847 feet of elevation

Lunch along the way.

2PM - We should be back (maybe 2:30 depending on condition of trails and lunch)
