SummeRides - Groton Center - One More Time

Dear AdventuRiders,

Well, the HOT and muggies are back, so a "wet" ride is obviously needed. We will meet in Groton Center, ride DOWN to Bertozzi, UP to Heald Pond, and DOWN to East Pepperell where we will pick up the rail trail back to Groton. We can have lunch at Filho's!

This is my last SummeRide since I am off to Bar Harbor for the rest of the month. However, stay tuned for occasional rides organized by some of my loyal riders.

Tomorrow, we will meet at the Rail Trail parking in Groton Center at 9:15 AM. Here is a map.
Beware of the Precision Parking Police!
Only parallel park between the signs and make sure you are facing the correct direction (facing away from Buckingham Bus).

The route is a little over 17 miles with a little more than 400 feet vertical. Here is a map. As usual, there is some gravel, but I'm bringing my road bike anyway.

On Wednesday, August 4th - We will meet in Groton Center at the Rail Trail parking. Here is a map.
  • At 9:15 AM - We will leave for West Groton. Here is a map.
  • At 12:30 PM - Lunch at Filho's in Groton.

Hope to see you there,
Bill

SummeRides - Groton Center AGAIN

Dear AdventuRiders,

The weather looks a bit iffy tomorrow, 30% chance of rain in the morning, so I am scheduling a shorter ride and then lunch at the Main Street Cafe in Groton afterwards.

After I do a final precision parking check, we will head DOWN the rail trail to Sand Hill Road and on to beautiful Hollis Road in Dunstable. After visiting the cows, we will ride through Dunstable Center on our way to Massapoag Pond. Then we will take Burnt Meadow Road and finally back to Groton Center by way of Lover's Lane. The route is almost 21 miles with less than 400 feet vertical. Here is a map. As usual, there is some gravel, but I'm bringing my road bike anyway.
