Wednesday rides

The forecast for tomorrow is for cloudy skies and 58 degrees. The wind will be 10-12 miles an hour from the Northeast and the chance of precipitation, 20%.

I would like to make the decision about riding based on your RSVPs.

Please let me know by 7:30am if you would like to ride either in the morning or the afternoon.  If one person wants to ride, I'll be there.

I will announce one way or the other in the morning….

One reason to ride is that the weather for Friday and Monday is not promising…rainy days.

Cheers,

Bill

The weather will be sunny but quite cool…56 when we start and 63 at the end and a light wind (ot off the water)…so dress warmly.

Season 26! Friday's Rides

Greetings Fellow  AdventuRiders!

Our 26th season will start on Friday, September 9th. Yes, that's this Friday.

I hope you have all had a wonderful summertime. Now, with the kids back in school, it's time to get serious about having some fun on our bikes!

I am writing this while waiting for Hermine to land in Truro, but we've had no rain and lots of wind, but nothing too bad so far. Current forecasts call for summer to return by Friday which may be a very warm day. So I have changed venues - from Carlisle to Westford so we can be near some ponds.

This year's sign up is much simpler. Your signed waiver will serve as a registration form. So bring it with you along with $15 (checks can be made out to Jane Anderson) and off we go.

Many thanks to Alex, Dena and Vicky, Joel and Darlene for signing up to lead some rides!!

Safety and Readiness:

  • Check out your bike NOW. Please make sure your tires are full, your chain is lubed, and you have a spare tube.
  • If your helmet is older than 5 years, consider getting a new one as they do wear out.
  • Bring plenty of water!
