Dear AdventuRiders,
Although it may look less Spring-like now than it has all Winter, here are some upcoming bike rides that you may be interested in.
First up is the Bike MS Rhode Island which is a fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. They have two events scheduled. First is the MS 25 Quick Ride on April, 15th. The second is the Bike MS: Ride the Rhode on June 16-17. It is a 150 mile ride From Newport, RI across the two suspension bridges (where bikes are usually not allowed) to Wheaton College for an overnight before returning to Newport. Thanks Bobbi, for bringing this to my attention.
Next up is The Flattest Century in the East on September 9th. It is a ride in Southeastern Massachusetts put on by the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen. Registration opens May 1st and it sells out quickly.
If you are looking for a longer adventure, you may want to check out the Rail-to-Trails Greenway Sojourn on June 17-24. This ride goes along the C&O Canal Towpath and Great Allegheny Passage from Washington, D.C., to Pittsburgh, Pa.
If you are looking for some international adventure, check out the Montreal Bike Fest on May 27th - June 3rd.
If you haven't registered for the Bike New York - Five Borough Bike Tour on May 6th yet, its not too late if you want to register as a VIP or join a charity group.
And of course, AdventuRides' 17th season starts on April 2nd.
Enjoy the snow while you can!
Bill
