Friday Ride

Whether it rains or snow tomorrow it doesn't matter as far as biking goes because the forecasted high temperature is only 37.

So tomorrow's ride is OFF/NOGO/STOP!

Jane and I are monitoring the coming storm and will send out a message on Sunday regarding Monday's rides.

Adventurides Spring 2017

Dear Adventuriders,

We will start our 27th season On Friday March 31st at 10am. The forecast calls for temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s, and sunny. Watch for a go/no go message Friday March 31st or check our website: adventurides.com  

We have posted the 2017 Spring Calendar.  Both of us greatly appreciate the leading done by many of you and we hope that you will do it again during this season.  You can find a list of the rides at the bottom of the calendar sheet.

Our RideWithGPS club membership has been renewed for another year with the money collected last year.   So Adventuriders  may continue to use this service. 

 This spring  Adventurides dues are $10. 

We'll start the season with a ride on the Minuteman Bikeway to Somerville as way to get our biking legs back and a chance to socialize after the long winter. 

You will need:

• To  be sure that your bike is in excellent condition.
• ANSII approved bicycle helmet
• Signed Waiver (attached)

Mid-Winter Hello

Hi All

We hope you are having a good winter and staying healthy.

Just a brief note with some updates.  We are roughly half way through our Adventurides hiatus, so we thought you might be interested to know:

1. We are planning to continue leading the rides

2.  Our RideWithGPS Club dues will be paid in March thanks to the $15 fees that we paid in the Fall session

3.  We have posted the 2017 Spring Calendar at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JbZ-E9CtPMcIRTxJmhoXzVy5uZtc-dvXme0aHgG-BYQ/edit#gid=1501270448.  Bill has listed a place-holder date of March 31st for the first ride - on the Minuteman Bikeway to Somerville and Dave's Pasta as a sort of annual social get back together and easy ride.  Jane entered a ride in Carlisle for April 5.  Both of us greatly appreciate the leading done last year by many of you and hope that you'll do it again in the upcoming session.  You can find a list of the rides on the sheet called Route List (at the bottom of the calendar sheet).

Monday Ride (Nov. 28)

Monday's ride will be an adaptation of one that Joel has done.  It starts at his house and goes through Littleton, Westford and Groton.The route goes by Lost Lake. It is 16.9 miles and has 761' of elevation.

It has a couple of hills but I know those of you who have indicated an interest will do fine.

We'll leave at 9:30 from Joel's house at 3 Baron Way in Littleton.   Map

We'll be back by noon.

The weather will be nippy at 35 when we leave and 41 when we return. But it will be totally sunny.

Friday/Monday Rides

Happy Thanksgiving all. I am thankful for the camaraderie and exercise you bring to my life.

Friday looks unpredictable in terms of rain but it will likely rain at different times of the day, so NO ride on Friday.

Monday looks to be nice and sunny, though chilly.

Please let me know if you want to ride on Monday and whether you'd prefer an 15 mile recreation ride (few hills) or a 25 mile ride with lunch in the middle and possibly more hilly.

There won't be a ride if no one responds.
