Monday - Hike not Bike- Farandnear in Shirley, MA

The bad news is….the weather tomorrow is going to be in the  30s. I've hit my low temperature limit, especially after standing in the cold today for two soccer games.

The good news is….. we will have our first AdventuRamble tomorrow morning.  We will check out the newest Trustees of the Reservation property Farandnear in Shirley, MA.

We will meet at 10:00 at the parking lot at 156 (?) Center Road, Shirley. There are 2 1/2 miles of trails. When we've had enough, we will eat lunch at Devens at the Natural Cafe and Market at Devens.  http://www.thenaturalcafe.biz/  at 176 Jackson Road, If enough people complain, we can go to the Devens Grill http://www.devensgrill.com/ at 4 Ryan's Way in Devens.

Starting Point

I don't believe there are bathroom facilities, so plan accordingly.

Wachusett Mountain Group Season Pass info

Dear AdventuRiders,

It's time to buy your Wachusett Mountain Ski PassThe deadline is Wednesday, November 18th.

It's the best deal around, and Wachusett Mountain has 3 high speed quad chair lifts (including one for the bunny hill!) and phenomenal snow making and grooming. If you show up on weekdays at 9:00 AM, it's like having your own personal ski area.

You only need to use your pass 5 times to save money. The best part is that you never have to wait in ticket lines.

After skiing, we've been known to go upstairs to the Black Diamond Restaurant for some surprisingly good and inexpensive food while soaking up some sun. Another favorite activity is to get a beer at the Coppertop Lounge and sink into one of the Adirondack chairs on the deck.

and save $110 by using the name ADVENTURIDES as the group name.

Please forward this to anybody you think might be interested, They do not need to be associated with AdventuRides.

Thank you to all AdventuRiders, past and present, who came to the service celebrating Bill's life, sent notes to the family (and me), called,  donated, baked, drove and were just generally awesome.  Together, we will figure out a special AdventuRides tribute for Bill, but as Gene Autry sang, "It's time to get back in the saddle again."  And yes.
